Thankfulness – Day 30

genesis2-24

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today, I thank you for the gift of a godly husband. Thank you for the love we share. Who we choose for our spouse may be the most significant decision we every make. I thank You for leading me to my husband, and for blessing our marriage all these years. I thank you for the ways we celebrate marriage and thank You that tomorrow we will be married 20 years.

Proverbs 18:22

He who finds a wife finds a good thing and obtains favor from the Lord.

 Mark 10:6-9

But from the beginning of creation, ‘God made them male and female.’ ‘Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.’ So they are no longer two but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, let not man separate.”

Thankfulness – Day 29

one in christ

Dear Heavenly Father,

Today, we thank you for Your Church. Thank you for a place to go to worship, and brothers and sisters to worship with, have fellowship with, and hear a message designed to draw us closer to You.

[My husband and I moved to a new state a few months ago. Since then we have been visiting different churches to find a new church home. The beautiful thing about the body of Christ is to go to a new church and witness and experience the same meaningful worship and the love of Christ just the same as other congregations. Together we are the body of Christ.]

Romans 12:5

so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.

Hebrews 10:24-25

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.

Psalm_119-18

Dear God,

Thank you Lord for providing us with Your Scriptures that we may understand You as we study them. Thank you for translating the Bible into many languages so that everyone has the opportunity to get to know Your ways. Open our hearts to the truth You are teaching us. Lead us to the passages that we need to read. Bless us as we get to know You through the reading of the Bible.

Joshua 1:8

This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.

Psalm 119:11

I have stored up your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

Psalm 119:105

Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.

Proverbs 3:1-2

My son, do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep my commandments, for length of days and years of life and peace they will add to you.

Remind us to be kind and gracious to these servants and to remember them this holiday season.
