Godly Friends

“The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.” Proverbs 12:26

I’m picky about who I choose for my friends. I select like-minded, Christian people to call friends. I still associate with non-Christians, after all, I want to share Christ with them. But friends, I need to know they have my best interests at heart. We live in a very deceptive world. For some, it’s too easy to start walking down the wrong path. Usually you don’t even realize it is happening. Sin can be so subtle. That’s why fellowship with other believers is so important. We need each other to help us in our daily walk, to keep us on course, and to hold each other accountable.

Colossians 3:16

Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

God created us for fellowship. Let your friends know how grateful you are to have them in your life.

I’m so grateful to God for each of my friends. That includes all the wonderful blogging friends I have made. Thank you for your love!

  1. Well put. It would be easy to just reject all friendships, or accept anyone without question. But, as usual, following Jesus wisely takes thought, prayer, and discernment. It sure is worth it, though!
