The Map

map 2

I have a map. It doesn’t look like most maps, covered with boundaries and roads, capitals and points of interest. Instead, my map is the Word of God. When I consult my map frequently, I don’t get lost. I’m able to take the shortest route to my destination. But when I neglect to check my map, I find myself off course. My trip takes much longer than necessary. Sometimes I set my map down for days at a time. Eventually, I’ll realize I’m lost. Fortunately, the Mapmaker helps me get back on course.

When was the last time you consulted your map?

Trust in the Lord with all your heart
and lean not on your own understanding;
in all your ways submit to him,
and he will make your paths straight. Proverbs 3:5-6

 Walk in His Light,

  1. Now, wouldn’t you come out better consulting your map and the Mapmaker every morning and getting your course heading and instruction before you plotted your course? I know I have to do that and still check in during the day to make sure I’m on track.

    You know what they say about an ounce of prevention being worth a pound of cure.
