The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands. Psalm 19:1

A new year is like a blank canvas, waiting for the brush strokes of the artist. What will your canvas look like in a few months? Will the designs and colors be rich and vibrant? Will people be drawn to look at your canvas? Or will your canvas be splattered with various attempts to create something nice, resulting in patterns and colors that don’t quite fit together?

Who is going to be the designer of your life? We have two choices. We can control what happens in our lives, but the outcome remains uncertain. Or, we can let our Heavenly Father design our lives and create a masterpiece. After all, he only wants the best for you.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11

My 2013 prayer for you is, for you to experience the work of the Lord in your life, and you will be richly blessed in the process.

Walk in His Light,

  1. Beautiful ~ your post reminded me of Ravi Zacharias’ book ~ The Grand Weaver: How God Shapes Us Through the Events of Our Lives. Have you read it? Colors on canvas or yarns weaving through tapestry ~ God’s design is definitely the best! I just need to remember that and keep surrendering… : )

    • Lori,
Wow, I’m honored. I don’t know what to say. I just started blogging so I don’t have much experience with this yet. I have been touched by so many remarkable people through their blogs. I’m sure many deserve awards. Thank you so much.
